Barak Schurr is the Founder & President of Wantickets, North America’s leading nightlife & dance music ticketing company. A savvy business and relationship driven entrepreneur, Barak has been involved in all facets of the entertainment industry. From visionary to marketing maverick, his involvement started as a budding musician turned online impresario into the late 90’s.

Arriving in Hollywood in the early 1990’s, Barak carved out a place in nightclubs as a professional and touring lead guitarist. Seeing a change in music and a shift with technology, he embraced electronic music production & DJ’ing to the fullest. Inspired by his new passion, he launched Wantickets in 1999 as hub dedicated to promoting & selling tickets to the Los Angeles club scene. Within a few years, Barak expanded the brand to New York, Miami, Las Vegas, Chicago, and Canada.

Schurr’s relentless drive and success to promote nightlife as a whole, digitally, caught the attention of the entertainment industry. Joining the Track Entertainment group (whose holdings include: clubplanet, cooljunkie, nochelatina, newyears.com) as a Senior Partner & President, The Wantickets brand continued to explode as a category leader in dance.

In late 2010, Barak led a private investment group in purchasing Wantickets (WT) back from Track Entertainment, and carving out an expansion plan for the brand. In the last three years, WT has become the best-in-breed company for nightlife & dance music ticketing, with well over a million monthly eager music fans. Powered by fans for fans, Wantickets encapsulates the dream of Barak to provide a true voice for the industry. Today, WT provides content, ticketing, and news globally as the category leader.
